Israel-Hamas Talks :- A Report

Two years ago, on 7th October, 2023, Israel confronted a brutal terror attack. Hamas launched a multipronged attack on Israel, which killed 1,200 people and they kidnapped 250 people. Retaliating the attack, Israel invaded Gaza. Israeli retaliation received tremendous international support. However, gradually the war turned one sided. But Israel still continues the war, killing more than sixty thousand people. The war forced millions of people living in Palestine to leave their home. starvation and malnutrition spread the whole area. Witnessing the human tragedy, the international community pushed Israel to stop the war.

In this context, US President Trump proposed a 20-point Gaza Peace Plan. As Israel and Hamas both agreed to negotiate, the US agreed to mediate the negotiation. According to report, the negotiation is going to be held in Egypt.

PM Modi’s Tentative Programme for His Visit to France

China Approved Plans to Construct Dam on Transboundary River Brahmaputra

  On December 25, 2024 China approved construction of world’s largest dam on a transboundary river Yarlung-Tsangpo in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, called Brahmaputra river in India.  Yarlung-Tsangpo is the longest river of Tibet. The approved dam will be three times larger than the Three Gorges dam. China claimed that the project has gone through rigorous scientific verification and will not have any negative impact on downstream countries like, India and Bangladesh.
