Today, during media briefing, MEA spokesperson termed the horrific human rights violation in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) as a ‘natural consequence of Pakistan’s oppressive approach and systematic plundering of resources from these territories.’ The MEA spokesperson also confirmed that India is well aware of brutalities by Pakistani forces on PoJK. The spokesperson also added that as Pakistan forcibly and illegally occupied the territory of PoJK, therefore, ‘Pakistan must be held accountable for its horrific human rights violations.’

At the same time MEA spokesperson reaffirmed that ‘Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are inalienable part of India, will remain and have always been part of India. Those territories (PoK) are our inalienable part.’

The ongoing violent clashes erupt in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) during the strike called by the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). According to reports, due to the strike, business and other activities have remained shut in the PoK.
