Prime Minister Modi welcomed US President Donald Trump’s leadership as peace efforts in Gaza make decisive progress. PM Modi said, 'Indications of the release of hostages mark a significant step forward.'

Prime Minister Modi also reaffirmed India’s continuous strong support towards all initiatives that could bring a durable as well as just peace in the region.

Trump’s proposed 20 points Gaza Peace Plan-An Analysis

  By Dr. Somita Chakraborty On 29 th September, 2025, US President Donald Trump held a Press meeting. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also present there along with President Trump. In the Press meeting President Trump proposed 20 points to bring peace in the Gaza strip. Prime Minister Netanyahu immediately accepted the plan. President Trump gave some time to Hamas to think about the plan. Hamas already agreed to accept the plan with some conditions. Negotiations are still going on. In this context, let’s check and analyze the points in brief. West Asia: From Conflict to Ceasefire

  By Dr. Somita Chakraborty After a short-term useless display of military might from both side, Iran and the US and its allies, mainly Israel, suddenly settled for a two-week ceasefire. Iran also agreed to allow ships through the Strait of Hormuz . Negotiated by Pakistan, the ceasefire is based on two different claims. Iran issued a 10-point claims, which includes, among other things, complete cessation of war in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen, asked for full commitment to lift sanctions on Iran, release of Iranian funds and frozen assets held by the US, and full payment of compensation for reconstruction costs to Iran.
