Leaders, Who Are Going to Attend the Global Peace Summit at Egypt

The Global Peace Summit is going to start at Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh. About 20 world leaders and their associates are going to attend the Summit.

A statement from Egypt stated that ‘The Summit aims to end the war in Gaza Strip, enhance efforts to bring peace and stability to the Middle East, and usher in a new phase of regional security and stability.’

The Summit is going to be co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and US President Donald Trump.

The other leaders of the region, who are going to attend the summit are, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, leader of the internationally recognized Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas Abbas, Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Kuwait’s Prime Minister Ahmad Al Abdullah Al Sabah and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The leaders from Europe, who are going to attend the summit are, French President Emmanuel Macron, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

Leaders from Multilateral platforms, who are going to attend the summit are, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, European Council President Antonio Costa and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

Besides that, leaders like, Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney, Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store are going to attend the summit.

Indian Prime Minister Mr. Modi, though received personal invitation from Egyptian President El-Sisi, failed to attend the summit. India will be represented by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh.
