Last month, US President Donald Trump proposed 20-point Gaza Peace Plan. Israel immediately accepted the Plan. Hamas also agreed to accept the Plan with some conditions. Different countries and their respective heads of the State and Government have already started expressing their opinion regarding the Peace Plan.

From Arab world to Asia to Europe, the Peace Plan has received mixed reaction. The Islamic countries, for example, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, UAE and Indonesia welcomed the Plan.

Indian Prime Minister Mr. Modi praised US President Trump for his leadership to bring peace in Gaza. He also reaffirmed that India will support any effort that contribute to bring durable and just peace in the region.

Russian also expressed its support and said Russia always supports and welcomes any effort that aimed at ending the tragedy and bloodshed in Gaza. They also support creation of an independent state of Palestine coexisting in peace and harmony with Israel.

China also expressed its support towards the Plan. Chinese Foreign Ministry said that China welcomes and supports all efforts that help to easing tensions between Palestine and Israel.

Pakistan is the only country which remained confused and hesitant, as usual, to take a stand. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, at first, said that Trump’s proposed Peace Plan is not the one, which was amended by the eight Muslim-majority nations when they met US President Trump in the sideline of the UN General Assembly. However, later he appreciated response from Hamas. Much later, Pakistani Prime Minister Mr. Sharif welcomed the plan.
