  By Dr. Somita Chakraborty Today, Indian Prime Minister Mr. Modi and British Prime Minister Mr. Starmer met in Mumbai. Both of them were present in a joint Press Meet. In the Press Meet, PM Modi welcome PM Starmer and the largest ever business delegation, which accompanied him. In July, during PM Modi’s visit to UK, both the countries concluded the historic Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). The agreement will reduce import costs between the two countries, and thereby will boost trade, create new job opportunities and will bring benefits for both industries and consumers. Honorable Peter Kyle, UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade held a bilateral meeting in Mumbai to chart a renewed course for the Indo-UK trade and towards operationalizing the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). During the meeting both the Ministers agreed to reposition the Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCo) to oversee its implementation and delivery. India and UK both are ambitious to double bilateral trade by 2030. Hamas launched a multipronged attack on Israel, which killed 1,200 people and they kidnapped 250 people. Retaliating the attack, Israel invaded Gaza. Israeli retaliation received tremendous international support. However, gradually the war turned one sided. But Israel still continues the war, killing more than sixty thousand people. India and Bhutan always continue high level diplomatic connection. India is Bhutan’s largest development partner. India committed Rs. 10,000/- crores support for the 13 th Five Year Plan of Bhutan (2024-29). The support covers project-tied assistance, high-impact community development projects, including areas like, energy, power sector etc. The 89 km. long Railway network is going to link Indian city Kokrajhar to mindfulness city Gelephu and Banarhat of Assam to Bhutan’s industrial city Samtse. The cost of the project is about Rs. 4,033/- crore. The entire investment is done by India for both Indian side and Bhutan’s side. Different countries and their respective heads of the State and Government have already started expressing their opinion regarding the Peace Plan. From Arab world to Asia to Europe, the Peace Plan has received mixed reaction. The Islamic countries, for example, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, UAE and Indonesia welcomed the Plan.
